Hvíslaðu að mér will be performed at Sonics across Shifts.
The song is written by two artist, Gréta from Icelandic and Sergey from Ukraine. They first met in 2016 in Polland. Gréta was staying there in a small town in an art center as on of her stops traveling around Europe. She was helping out the local artist and working there. Sergey traveled to the space to host a concert. Thats where they both met and heard each other perform for the first time. Many years passed without much contact but in 2023. Sergey reached out and they decided to work on a song together. That was their first collaboration project. That then developed into a whole album when Sergey traveled to Iceland and the met again in person. Hvíslaðu að mér (Whisper to Me) is one of the song they recorded for the album and it's inspired by Icelandic fairytales and misty nature, like the name of the album itself complys which is ÞOKA (mist).

Hvíslaðu að mér

This song is a collaboration project between the artist Sergey and Gréta. Sergey wrote the soundtrack and traveled to Iceland to meet Gréta. They found a small in a record store to record the rest of the vocals which was Gréta's job. She had already listened lighty to the soundtracks and when it came to the recording session she intuitively let the words, phrases and rythms flow. Therefore the lyrics were not written beforehand. Everything depended upon the rythm and electronic atmosphere that Sergey had created himself.
