Music for organ will be performed at Harmonies by Horizons.
Alise Rancāne, born in 1995, is a Latvian contemporary music composer who has been actively engaged in a variety of acoustic and electroacoustic music projects. Her work encompasses composing music for chamber music ensembles, making electronic music scores, and exploring sound and space through various projects and sound installations. Additionally, she has collaborated with visual artists and composed music for theatre.

Music for organ

The piece "Music for organ" [2021] is inspired by the harmonic structures of J.S. Bach's organ music and the special acoustics of cathedrall. In the process of creating a piece the composer was very much aware of the characteristics of the specific space and instrument - each subsequent musical activity in the piece is a desire to immerse oneself in ever new timbral acoustic event
